The Underwear Dilemma

Eeney, meenie, miney, moe...

Here's the problem (laundry-wise) with having four males in your house: you have to sort their underwear.  Boxers, briefs, character cartoon undies, tighty whities... all of various designs and sizes... whew!

It's also kinda gross to dig out a pair of nasty undies from the bottom of someones pants.  I'm just saying, you never know what you might find.  Especially when one of the offenders is 12 and all kinds of curious.

It's easy with Monkey.  He's only 4 1/2 and still wears characters on his undies.  Also 98% of his dirty clothes go back to his mom's house and he only wears Cars on his little booty.  That little boy has a serious passion about Cars stuff.

Itchy - he was pretty easy.  Back when he was little and cute and everything.  He was the only one with cartoons on his undies for the longest time.  Then he moved out of characters and into tighty whities just as Scratchy went from tighty whities to boxers.

Then we moved in with Captain and 2 people were wearing boxers.  I had to start reading tags and looking at patterns.

Itchy & Scratchy got undies for Christmas and now it's all screwed up.

Scratchy alternates between boxers and boxer-briefs.  His newest (and most frequently worn) boxers don't have cartoons or animals on them because that's not cool, Mom!   Now Scratchy's boxers look like Captain's.  Itchy's undies look like little versions of his big brother's... it's a mess.  Itchy wears boxers, boxer briefs AND an assortment of fitted undies both with and without characters.  GAH!

I'm tempted to start labeling their undies.  Everyone gets to have their name on the tag like they are 11 and going to camp.  That way when I do laundry, I won't have to spend an extra 10 minutes finding the tags, reading the sizes and trying to figure out what size everyone is.

Think a 30-something man will be irked if I write his name in all his undies??

Don't even get me started on my Sock Hell.
